VendHive (“we”, “us”, “our”) is committed to protecting the privacy of Nigerian micro-vendors who use our platform. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

2. Information We Collect

  • Account information: email address or phone number used to sign up
  • Business information: business name, category, WhatsApp number
  • Product data: product names, prices, images, quantities you add to the app
  • Sales data: sales records you create
  • Customer contacts: names and WhatsApp numbers you save in the CRM
  • Usage data: features you use, captions generated
  • Device data: browser type, device type for app optimization
  • Payment data: handled entirely by Paystack — we never store card details

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and improve VendHive features
  • To generate AI captions using your product data
  • To send push notifications you've opted into
  • To process subscription payments via Paystack
  • To send product-related alerts (dead stock, daily prompts)
  • We never sell your data to third parties
  • We never share your customer contacts with other vendors

4. AI and Your Data

VendHive uses AI providers (Google Gemini, OpenAI) to generate captions. Your product name, price, and description may be sent to these providers to generate content. We do not send customer personal data to AI providers.

5. Data Storage

Your data is stored securely on Supabase (PostgreSQL) servers. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We use Row Level Security to ensure vendors can only access their own data.

6. Your Rights

  • Access: request a copy of your data
  • Deletion: request account and data deletion
  • Correction: update incorrect information
  • Portability: export your product and sales data

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies only for authentication and session management. No advertising cookies.

8. Children

VendHive is not intended for users under 18.
